シオザワヨウイチことthe guitar plus meの特徴であるアコースティック・ギターの瑞々しい響き、マジカルなアレンジとコーラス・ワークはそのままに、今作はthe beach boysのアルバム"PET SOUNDS"や、Simon & Garfunkleの曲"at the zoo"ような、60年代のソフトなサイケデリア感にも似た、なんとも不思議なトーンで覆われた世界が広がっています。巨象、クジラ、ヤギ、ペンギン、ピラニアにクラゲなど、さまざまな動物たちが物悲しくも愉快に登場してくる歌詞には、その美しいメロディーとナイーブな歌声とは裏腹に、「人間もまた動物であり、最も奇妙な生き物である」と言う、拝金主義の成れの果てやグローバリズムを痛烈に風刺したシオザワ流のアイロニーが込められています。
