Toki

Music producer born in Kobe, Japan. Resident in Shanghai, China for 10 years / Graduated from Ritsumeikan University, School of Film (Kyoto, Japan) / Graduated from the graduate school of Academy of Art University (San Francisco, United States)



Worked with the artists as a composer and an arranger. Toki moved to San Francisco in 2016 and has since worked on cinematic pieces as well as working with local artists creating a variety of music. Officially taking the name “Toki” in 2019, Toki moved to New York and joined a music production based in Brooklyn and has been creating mainly EMD inspired tracks.



With Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Entertainment he has collaborated and released music with local rappers and artists such as; BLKZEN, ironMonk, R-Naby, Lia Givency, Gordon Andres. Toki contributed as a sound engineer during these projects as well.



As a remixer, Toki has joined Koda Kumis’(Avex) remix album three years in a row and was chosen in sleepyheads’ 「ぼくのじゃないはきみのもの」(Boku no jyanai ha kimi no mono) project with his Toki Remix of 「ぼくのじゃない」(Boku no jyanai).



Toki worked with SHISEIDO CHINA creating cinematic tracks in 2019 as well as working with US based AR game developer The Grave as a sound producer.



Toki has also been working on solo projects creating music from melodic dubstep and chill step genres collaborating with artists from all over the world and has released 11 continuous singles.



In 2020, Toki returned to Japan continuing his work with Koda Kumi and sleepyhead. Toki also joined Ayumi Hamasaki’s event “ayumix2020” as a remixer. He is currently working with sleepyheads’ 武瑠 (Takeru) and guitar Maestro ichika on projects such as soine, solo projects with 8P-SBs’ Koichi and as a track producer/arranger for TREMBLING BAMBI.
