I think praying is beautiful because it is an action showing love to not myself but someone who we truly care. Ten years ago, on March 11, 2011. Tohoku area in Japan was hit by the massive earthquake, and lots of people lost their loved ones. People have had sad and hard time due to sudden bereavement, and even now, the emotional scars won't go away. People keep on praying ever since that day. Now Coronavirus threatens around the world and many people are going through the pain of loss. Praying is the culture which has taken root in Japanese. It is expressing the mind that we want to heal our sorrows arising from threats which we can not resist as much as possible. To keep caring about others without hurting anyone. Praying might be symbolizing the pure mind like that.
