A song was born when Ritsu Sekiguchi, a young musician, picked up the book and read Kanae's story. Yuji Fujisaki plays the piano with a delicate touch while Mei Himeno, a high school student and a friend to Kanae's sister, takes the reading of the poem "June Rain" with a fresh and touching voice, synchronizing with the soul of late Kanae.

Pj. Looking Up to the Sky

Kanae Kobanawa passed away at the age of 19, leaving behind her poems which turned into a memorial book published in July 2020, titled "Looking Up to the Sky." A song was born when Ritsu Sekiguchi, a young musician, picked up the book and read Kanae's story. Inspired, Sayaka Hashimoto, a soprano, and Yuji Fujisaki, a tenor, joined Sekiguchi to start a project -- a project that brings courage, strength and hope in life. Each talent took a role in arrangement, vocal, direction and piano in creating this beautiful ensemble. Three musicians, together with the soul of late Kanae, play you a song of encouragement from the sky.
