Since the end of last year, Deges Deges has been releasing new songs at a monthly pace, and this is the fourth one.This song, with its drunken, druggish floating feeling, was born as a result of Inoue's teaching to Takada the basics of chord progressions and the concept of voicing.The verse is almost a single chord, and the chorus is also a two-five one, which may seem like a low IQ at first listen, but the simple but deep flavor of the syncopation of the quarter note and the vocal melody may remind you of Kansai-style udon noodles made with only dashi broth and no light soy sauce. The sound is characterized by a challenging lo-fi mix, including a blatant mix in the bridge where a vicious guitar suddenly cuts in mid-song. While the mix might have been more convincing if it had been left to a renowned engineer, however, the speed with which the texture was achieved and the sound image as if the heat of both Takada and Inoue had been immediately vacuum-packed are unique to DIY. The abstract and pessimistic title is also impressive, but the theme of the lyrics is living in Tokyo.
