The word 'distance' has gained a new sense of severity ever since COVID-19 entered our daily lives. Not only do we live through social distance and the loss of human connection, but also the extreme polarization of how we perceive and think about the world we live in. Inspired by the famous commercial in which 'hibari' was used, we wanted to talk about how we are experiencing this global isolation, and yet still hoping for genuine connection. Self-titled 'immigrant rapper', Moment Joon is a rap artist who is based in Osaka, Japan. Moving to Japan from Seoul, South Korea in 2010, Moment Joon has been a unique voice which channels the experience that foreigners and immigrants go through in Japan. His 2019 album Immigration EP is considered to be one of the best rap albums in Japanese Hip Hop by many critics and gerne fans.
