2020 was a year that felt as if passage of time had stood still, even though the environment surrounding me had drastically changed. I took a moment to quietly reflect upon myself and the path I had chosen to take, and transform the moment into music. I am moved by scenery that can only seen and feelings that can only be felt in the flow of time. Scenery that makes me feel isolated because of its unchanging beauty.

Koichi Shimizu, born 1972, is a musician, sound designer, producer based in Japan. Active since the late 90s, Shimizu has worked in the field of electronic music and sound design for film, performance and sound installations. After living in Bangkok for nearly twenty years, Shimizu relocated himself back to Japan in 2020 where he spends his time working between Tokyo and Yamanashi.
