Awaiが「SONNET」を配信開始
Awaiの「SONNET」が配信開始された。今回、デジタル配信リリースされた楽曲は、「Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?」「Thou art more lovely and more temperate:」「Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,」「And summer’s lease hath all too short a date;」「Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,」「And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;」「And every fair from fair sometime declines,」「By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm'd;」「But thy eternal summer shall not fade,」「Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st;」を含む全14曲となっている。
気鋭のアーティストグループ、劇団あはひのメンバーが中心となって結成された音楽ユニットの第一作。ウィリアム・シェイクスピアの残した詩集と、吉田健一によるその翻訳を題材として制作され、2019年に彼らが上演した舞台作品『ソネット』。それが「音楽演劇」としてリクリエーションされた本作では、舞台版の劇伴を担当した大儀見海も作曲者として再び参加し、新たな音楽表現の地平を切り拓いている。
