“Dissecting Table” released the new music Album “Play Dead”

In addition to the automatic computer performance, in the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th tracks of "Play Dead," mainly, the frequency of the Wien bridge oscillator is operated manually. The 2nd and 5th tracks are automatic computer performances. A multiple synthesizer setup is one of the features of the developed synthesizer system in this work. This synthesizer is equipped with Wien bridge oscillators, multipliers, a biquad circuit, and a voltage-control circuit. The output signal of the analog filter in this system enriches the sound effect and quality via mixing using a digital filter. The sound synthesis by the multiple synthesizer used in the 5th track connects the output signal of two multipliers and a biquad circuit real-time using a voltage-control circuit. This circuit controls the voltage of three input signals using an analog photo coupler. Control signals are input into this coupler so that the three input signals can connect regularly. Further, the three signals from the voltage control are input into an adder to conduct a sound synthesis. In the 6th track, until 4 minutes of performance time, the multiple synthesizer carries out an amplitude modulation with a multiplier. Next, the frequency of the Wien bridge oscillator is changed. The frequency is changed using the circuit which carries out the parallel connection of the analog photo coupler and the variable resistance. The timbre in which the variable resistance is changed is different from that in which the resistance of the analog photo coupler is changed. From 4 minutes to 6 minutes of performance time, the variable resistance is changed. The control signal input into the analog photo coupler is switched OFF. From 6 minutes to 7 minutes of performance time, the control signal input into an analog photo coupler is switched ON. Thereby, the resistance of the analog photo coupler changes. The frequency of the control signal input into the analog photo coupler is also changed. After 7 minutes of performance time, the switch of the control signal input into the analog photo coupler is randomly operated. When the switch is OFF, the variable resistance is changed. The timbre of this track changes variously, becomes complicated, and produces a hard noise. Especially, if the frequency of the Wien bridge oscillator is high, it will become a unique timbre, such as a random signal.

Dissecting Table

Profile:
Ichiro Tsuji was born in 1966. In Tokyo 1986 he began producing noise industrial music under the name of Dissecting Table(DT). He returned to his hometown of Hiroshima in 1998 and continues making music. DT has released CD's and records through his own label UPD Organization as well as independent labels in Europe and the US.
Earlier in his career DT made his music by controlling synthesizer and sampler by sequencer but since 2012 he has been developing his unique sound by controlling the PWM signal outputted from PIC (microcontroller) via computer.
In 2014 DT teamed up with Sektor304 (Portugal) to release a split LP "Utopia/Decay" through Malignant Records (USA). He also teamed up with Maurizio Bianchi(Italy) to release another split LP "Ankoku Busshitsu" through Steinklang Industries.
