May Inoue
MAY INOUE is a Japanese guitarist born on May 14, 1991 in Kawasaki city, Kanagawa prefecture, Japan. MAY INOUE started guitar at the age of 15 years old and started a professional career while attending in high school. He released his first major debut album "Fast Train" in October, 2011 from EMI Music Japan. In January 2012, he received the album "The NISSAN PRESENTS JAZZ JAPAN AWARD 2011" album of the year in the same work. From September 2012, he studied at Berklee College of Music as a full scholarship student. After graduation, he had stayed in NY and done lots of gigs and live shows and came back to Japan in June 2014. In November 2013 he released 2nd album "Waiting for Sunrise" from Universal Music. In April 2016, participated in album "Guitar Is Beautiful KW 45" of Kazumi Watanabe's 45th anniversary of guitar life. In the same year, released his debut album "CRCK / LCKS" with POPS unit "CRCK / LCKS" with elite musicians in his age. In June 2016 he collaborated with the world's best jazz guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel at Blue Note Tokyo. In Nov. 2018, he opened Mike Stern Band at Ronnie Scott's in London Jazz Festival and got so praised by Mike Stern.
