NEHANN has started to take its own steps in the new scene that is secretly spreading in the underground of Tokyo, which is submerged in the Corona disaster.After releasing a series of 7" singles in February and April, their first album "New Metropolis" is finally here. Their style is a hybrid of 80's and 90's UK indie and US alternative with a modern sensibility and a deep, dark gothic sound that gives them a unique presence.In addition to the 7" Star and Nylon released on our KiliKiliVilla label, the album also features re-recorded versions of previously released songs such as TEC and Ending Song, both singles on the BLACK HOLE label, and the self-released Under the Sun, Labyrinth and HAZARD. The beauty of the newly recorded version of the timeless classic Ending Song will captivate all music fans. This is an album of 10 songs that expresses the feelings of teenagers and twenties somethings living in a world where the new corona infection has created a real dystopia in Tokyo, a world where the individual has become fragmented.

NEHANN

Formed in February 2019, with an average age of 24, this 5-piece group plays an ongoing ensemble with a sense of 90's grunge and alternative, while correctly inheriting the aesthetics of 80's post-punk such as Joy Division, The Cure and Echo & the Bunnymen. The band's first album was released in 2006. They are beginning to make their presence felt in the rapidly changing indie scene in Japan.
They have released seven singles to date. The band has been gaining attention mainly at live houses in Tokyo, and is growing by leaps and bounds with each successive performance. The charismatic presence of the vocalist, Kwayama, and the modern orchestration of the two guitars are rough, but have a high potential. The band is currently working on their own project "Milk Poriddge", where they have done everything from booking to flyer design by themselves.
