Album - Life Song Saya Asakura is born on June 29th 1992. She is a singer from Yamgata prefecture, who started learning Japanese "minyo" folk singing, and playing shamisen at the of 10. She started writing original songs and posted shamisen covers or Yamagata dialect covers of "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" and "Genesis of Aquarion", creating a big internet buzz. Her uplifting character and cute dialect have been introduced on TV programs. The rareness of her quality of "it" girl with her local dialect and traditional folk singing has been drawing a lot of attention.
