“THE UNCROWNED” released the new music Album “REVIVE”

The project was started by Takeshi (G), who was the core member of the melodic rock band ACTROID (on indefinite hiatus), which announced an indefinite hiatus in October 2015, to give form to the songs he wrote for ACTROID's second album, which was to be released. Takeshi first approached his younger brother, Naoki (B), about starting the project. The decision was made not only because of their close musical tastes and familiarity with each other's personalities, but also because he was a bassist with a technique that could be trusted. In January 2016, SHAL (Vo) joined them and the band was formed. SHAL had no previous experience as a vocalist and had a complex about her voice, so she rarely sang in front of people. Although SHAL was reluctant to join the band, she gradually developed a desire to turn her complex into a strength, and finally decided to join the band. The band was named THE UNCROWNED by Naoki, meaning "uncrowned" in literal translation, but the name reflects the band's desire to create high quality music that only they can make, even if it does not bring them fame. In order to take advantage of SHAL's one and only voice, all the songs that had been completed for ACTROID's second album were discarded and a new songwriting process began. THE UNCROWNED's debut album "REVIVE," which includes those nine songs, will be released on December 16, 2016 on Black-listed Records. THE UNCROWNED

The band was formed in 2016 by Takeshi (Gt), his brother Naoki (Ba), and SHAL (Vo) On December 16th of the same year, they released their debut album "REVIVE" with 9 songs. The album, which was produced with a focus on "melancholy beauty" and "strength," was received with great acclaim and praise from the media and fans alike. The album was rated "No. 1 album of 2016" by BURRN! editor Fujiki, and the band itself was ranked in BURRN! magazine's readers' poll in the Brightest Hope category for 2016. Naoki left the band in May 2017, but continued their activities with support members, releasing their first single "TEARS" on October 27, 2017. The song ranked 13th on the Oricon Indies Weekly Chart. In the summer of 2020, SHAL was diagnosed with cancer and is still undergoing treatment. In parallel with the treatment, the production of the 2nd full album is in progress and is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2022.
