“THE UNCROWNED” released the new music Album “TEARS”

Takeshi (G), the core member of the melodic rock band ACTROID, which announced an indefinite hiatus in October 2015, started this project with his brother Naoki (B) to give shape to the songs he had written for ACTROID's second album, which was to be released in October 2015. After that, a newcomer with amazing potential, SHAL (Vo), who had no previous experience as a vocalist but had decided to join the band as a vocalist after Takeshi happened to hear her singing and fell in love with her voice, joined the band and in early 2016, the band was formed. The band was formed as a band and named THE UNCROWNED... which directly translates to "uncrowned," but it expresses the desire to create high quality music that only they can make, even if it does not bring them fame. In the end, in order to take advantage of SHAL's one and only voice, all the songs that had been completed for ACTROID's second album were discarded and a new songwriting process began. THE UNCROWNED's debut album "REVIVE", which contained those 9 songs, was released on December 16, 2016 on Black-listed Records and was received with great response and praise from the media and fans, and the Toumeihan The tour was a great success, but after the Nagoya show at the end of May, Naoki, B, left the band for personal reasons. In June, the band began writing songs for their next release, and the new single "TERAS" will be released on October 27, 2017, through Black-listed Records. The songs on this single share the common theme of "tears," which is also the title of the work, and SHAL, who writes the lyrics, says, "I think tears are a very beautiful thing. Tears can express all emotions. It's okay to be called a crier...because it's an emotion. There is more there than words... I packed such an important thing into this work." (Incidentally, songwriting for the second album was in progress at the same time, but the three songs included in this album will not be included in the second album to be released after 2018.) Takeshi's technical guitar playing and SHAL's emotional and powerful voice... The new songs are just as beautiful and powerful as the previous album... if not more so. This album is a must-listen not only for melodic HR/HM lovers who became fans of the band with their first album "Revive", but also for all rock fans who love melody.

THE UNCROWNED

The band was formed in 2016 by Takeshi (Gt), his brother Naoki (Ba), and SHAL (Vo) On December 16th of the same year, they released their debut album "REVIVE" with 9 songs. The album, which was produced with a focus on "melancholy beauty" and "strength," was received with great acclaim and praise from the media and fans alike. The album was rated "No. 1 album of 2016" by BURRN! editor Fujiki, and the band itself was ranked in BURRN! magazine's readers' poll in the Brightest Hope category for 2016. Naoki left the band in May 2017, but continued their activities with support members, releasing their first single "TEARS" on October 27, 2017. The song ranked 13th on the Oricon Indies Weekly Chart. In the summer of 2020, SHAL was diagnosed with cancer and is still undergoing treatment. In parallel with the treatment, the production of the 2nd full album is in progress and is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2022.
