This is the third single by singer-songwriter Hibiya.
Reo Saotome on guitar and Yusuke Asada, one of Japan's leading sound producers who has delivered hit songs for Chara, Kimaguren, and many other artists, handled the mixing and mastering of this single.
Her previous work 'Sweet Contract' was playlisted on Spotify's popular official playlist 'Kira Kira Pop Japan' for two weeks in a row, making this another notable release from one of the next generation of artists.
The arrangements by Hibiya, a piano student at the College of Music, are a must-hear, fully demonstrating her classical skills in synths and keyboard instruments. Vintage synths such as the POLY-800 are used, and combined with Hibiya's authentic and lyrical vocals, the sound is somehow warm and inviting.
The song was produced as the theme song for the fictional movie 'Gensou Tokyo,' and the music video will be released along with the release as a short video featuring scenes from the movie.
The unique 'neo-retro' worldview of the song has been attracting a lot of attention through SNS announcements and flyers even before its release.
