Kenta Okamoto is a drummer / percussionist who is active in various scenes, mainly in the field of Latin jazz. This album is a recording of a gig performed at the "Cotton Club" in Marunouchi, Tokyo, where he led his own leader band "Wu-Xing".In addition to regular members, the gig was held with Kohei Ando and Gen Ogimi as guests, and it was a great excitement. Kenta Okamoto

Started playing percussion instruments at Tenri High School, and was in charge of drums in a big band while attending Tenri University. He won the fighting award twice in the Yamano Big Band Jazz Contest. On the other hand, he was devoted to Latin music that he happened to meet in college and learned by himself. As soon as he started his professional activities after graduating from university, he was recognized by Carlos Kanno and joined the . He is also a regular member of and . Meanwhile, he also participates in tour support and recording for various artists. In 2018, he gathered top players and formed . The debut album "COLORES" was released in 2019, and two albums "Mas Alla" and "Walkin'on the railroad" were released at the same time in 2021. In 2022, he released a live album "Live at Cotton Club " at the Marunouchi Cotton Club from "Days of Delight".
