Tomoko Miyata

Born in Aichi, Japan. After graduating from high school, she moved to Los Angeles to learn music and jazz. She later found many common feelings between Japanese music that she knew as a child and Brazilian music that she encountered and started performing in both English and Portuguese. She eventually moved to NYC and had a full-time career in finance and continued performing in the city. She released two albums - "Secret Of Life" in 2010 and "Begin Anywhere" in 2011 from BounDEE Inc. (now Space Shower Music), working with the first-call Brazilian guitarist, Romero Lubambo. After moving back to Japan in 2016, she relocated to Amami Oshima, Kagoshima, and has been writing songs that reflect the slow and natural lifestyle, and continuing to perform around Amami, Tokyo, and Nagoya, etc.
