800 cherries

800 cherries

Formed in Sapporo in autumn 1994 by Marufuji Manami, Ritsuko Ootera and Sayuki Takahashi, they released their first cassette tape album 'piccolo' in 1995 with Clover Records and their own label Fractal, and became a two-piece in 1997. Their second album, romantico, was released on March and received worldwide acclaim. The minimalistic floating sound common to Stereo Lab, melancholic organic electronic sounds like Donna Regina, and pop melodies reminiscent of early Salon Music are unique in their sense of style.
