The Grit Groovers

Formed in 2022. Instrumental duo unit of Keigo Takase and Koichi, both born in 1998. Influenced by black music such as Boogie Woogie, Blues, and New Orleans Jazz, the duo creates original music that incorporates the essence of these genres, and is involved in a wide variety of activities including performances, live shows, event appearances, and outreach programs for educational institutions. They also plan and produce various musical performances with their original ideas and sensibility. The unit name means "those who are always in pursuit of groove," and they continue to transmit their unique approach to music from Japan to the world, focusing on the one and only soulful sound created by piano and drums.
