BLACK CLASSMATE

"BLACK CLASSMATE" is a never-before-seen rock unit consisting of singer-songwriter KOWNER, composer Yons, and video creator Blachemica. Rooted in the emo music of the 2000s, they blend emo, trap, and alternative rock to create music and visuals that no one has ever heard or seen before, expressing messages about their own weaknesses and emotions through lyrics that evoke deep melancholy and sadness, and melodies that are emotional and delicate. They create their own unique perspective that goes against common sense and established concepts. They call themselves "Melancholic Antipop" and continue to work. During his university days with an F rank, KOWNER met Yons in class C of the English Communication Department. They started talking about music after Yons noticed the guitar pick hanging around KOWNER,s neck. And began listening to screamo and hardcore bands like Story Of The Year, The Used, and YOUR DEMISE, and even started a cover band. When KOWNER wanted to start his own band, he posted on the band member recruitment bulletin board of the popular SNS "mixi" that he wanted to form a band like The Devil Wears Prada. Blachemica, who was a bassist at the time, contacted him, and they formed a band. KOWNER began composing music with their Legend acoustic guitar at home, and started producing songs with Yons using DTM, which neither of them had much experience with. Eventually, Blachemica shocked after watching music videos by Lil Peep and Oliver Francis, and decided to start making visual content after listening to demos created by KOWNER and Yons in the studio. The three of them created a unique world of music and visuals, which was reborn as "Melancholic Antipop".
