In 2019, the hip-hop crew LUVIES began its activities in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture. One of the central figures in the crew, rapper and beatmaker JoanMeltt, started solo activities in 2023 to further expand the range of expression. Proficient in a genre-less sound that incorporates influences from horror and science fiction films into various styles of music, ranging from classic hip-hop to trap, drill, rock, metal, soul, R&B, techno, and trance. Utilizing instrumental skills and composition sensibilities honed through various band experiences, JoanMeltt creates beats from scratch and weaves in personal emotions and messages. This style transcends genres and generations, constantly exploring new sounds.
