Afro Tech Tokyo

Afro Tech Tokyo is a soulful and borderless music trio based in Tokyo. Their captivating and vibrant music is signatured by the sounds of traditional ethnic instruments blended with digital electronic instruments. They have charted #15 in iTunes Store Alternative Netherlands, and is beginning to be recognized in various places worldwide. Afto Tech Tokyo consists of TOSHI (berimbau and dance performance) , OSAMI (djembe) and TOKU (didgeridoo, asalato and DJ). TOSHI, with his capoeira background, plays the afro-brazilian bow instrument and performs capoeira infused dances. OSAMI who has performed in various music events and tours as a percussionist, produces music for themselves as well as for other artists. TOKU was the leader of Run-D-Crew, the first Japanese team that became the Double Dutch World Champion. He DJs in numerous events, explores indigenous sounds, and of course he still plays double dutch. A team of unique talents sings, beats and dances, adding double dutch at times, to create whimsical moments that never cease to engage audiences. Their performance is truly one-of-a-kind!
