Every decade, a wave of doomsday predictions captures public attention. The 2025 apocalypse discourse is no exception, with media amplifying fear and turning anxiety into yet another commodity in a time where even dread is for sale.
In the midst of such a world, I found myself constantly focusing on what was "missing" until I paused and rediscovered a sense of gratitude for what has always been there.
This realization of seeing and polishing the present became the spark that gave birth to "Ivory Knife."
AI and reality, spirituality and violence, void and playfulness this song cuts sharply through a chaotic blend of opposing forces to ask one piercing question: What does it mean to live?
The track, a Remix Void ver. by beatmaker NAKAMURA, brings together razor-sharp lyrics that intertwine internal landscapes with social critique depicting ELIM's signature avant-garde world.
An original Pitch Black ver., without remix treatment, is scheduled for release next month offering two contrasting versions of the same core.
Furthermore, the music video for this track has been reborn as a color version of "Ivory Knife," which won the 3rd AI Art Grand Prix in 2024. Re-edited and reconstructed by ELIM, the MV will be released alongside the track. Its rich visual storytelling, enhanced through AI art, deepens and amplifies the themes of the song.
