RINGOMUSUME is a dance and vocal unit that started from the volunteer group "Hirosaki Actors School" formed in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture in July 2000. The goal of this group is to disseminate information from local areas through music and entertainment activities, revitalize local Aomori, and invigorate primary industries nationwide and overseas through entertainment. They belong to "RINGO MUSIC Inc.", which was established in 2005. The members are named after the apple varieties that Aomori Prefecture boasts the No. 1 production in Japan, with the hope of revitalizing the local area. Also, like Aomori Prefecture, which has a food self-sufficiency rate of over 100%, the members themselves are very interested in agriculture, and they are also known as "agricultural revitalization idols" who actually challenge agriculture on TV and in private. In addition to appearing in more than 80 events a year and volunteer live performances at local facilities, he has also appeared on TV, radio and commercials, and is attracting attention as a top runner of local idols. It is supported not only by the same age group but also by a wide range of age groups, and its recognition in Aomori Prefecture is almost 100%. In the future, not only the group's activities as an "agricultural revitalization idol" but also the activities of individual members are expected to increase.
