SOMAOTA is the MC of the Japanese HipHop collective "Black petrol", whose appearances at SUMMER SONIC 2023 and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL'24 are still fresh in our minds. Also, SOMAOTA has performed at "Neon Oasis Fest. 24" in Taiwan as a solo artist. On August 28 (Wed), SOMAOTA released "Clouds," a single co-written with his share house band DUCK HOUSE. This is his first release as a solo artist in three months, and the first collaboration with DUCK HOUSE in four months since the EP "Lost Humanity" released in April 2010. While his previous collaborations with DUCK HOUSE have sent out a positive message, "Clouds" is an introspective song with the theme of "what you lose by continuing to play music". The song straightforwardly expresses how SOMAOTA, who is now in her late 20s, and Oumi and INUI of DUCK HOUSE struggle daily with the balance between life and music.

Rapper/trackmaker born in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1999. I call my lifestyle "LIFE STYLE MAFIA." He does not smoke, do drugs, or drink, and always gets up at 7 in the morning.
