Aiming to create music that evokes the heart and spirit of Japan, I will take on the world with songs colored with the Japanese spirit on my first album. This time, we have also created several pieces featuring Sayo Komada, one of the most dynamic shamisen players who often appears in the media, and Yasuhiro Tada, a more hidden character but a master of the (Ryuteki)Japanese dragon flute, whose sound sounds like a Japanese dragon rising to the heavens. Also supervising the music are Nobutaka Nakazawa, chairman of the Japan Gagaku Society and vice representative director of the Gagaku Association, Hana Miura, a gagaku performer who graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, and Kazumoto Kubo, a jazz drummer who is active in a wide range of activities. I was able to take on the challenge of creating this album with their support. I hope that this song and album will inspire people of all ages to become interested in traditional Japanese instruments and music.
