I wrote this song as the antithesis of having our values determined by others. I am not the only one who tends to be influenced by values created by someone who is not me, including trends and times, or to compare myself with others and despise myself, and I am not the only one who falls into such situations. I affirm such conflicts as necessary. Because I believe that what is filtered through conflict is what is sufficient for true identity. There is a theory that howling is an act of asserting one's own territory. No one can take away your identity. No one can hurt you. You can decide what values are important to you.

Akari Kiki

I am a singer-songwriter who creates melodies that stir the heart and lyrics that evoke empathy. Through my music, I create songs that affirm life's struggles of grief, lamentation, and helplessness, and light a "fire" deep within. Although I am based on jazz, I am not bound by genres, but rather incorporate a wide range of styles, including rock and R&B, to captivate with my unique worldview. I have a voice that is both gentle and powerful, and my lyrics are realistic and unique, expressing themes that everyone can relate to, such as relationships with oneself and loved ones, daily struggles, and growth. I have been active since July 2024, producing original songs and music videos and performing at music bars, live houses, and mini festivals mainly in Tokyo. In October of the same year, my music video for "Poor Vampire" was featured in the Dutch web magazine "AVO Magazine" and has begun to attract attention from abroad as well.
