Mitani Kenji is a folk/blues singer in his late 60s from Kochi Prefecture. He is currently performing nationwide with songs influenced by 70s folk and blues. His songs, which are about his youth, loved ones, family and friends, touch the hearts of listeners. His backing musicians are veterans of the Kansai jazz and blues scene, providing excellent support for Mitani's singing. Although he is currently battling cancer, he continues to perform live and record energetically.
