Yae - Singer, Songwriter, and Voice for Peace and Nature Yae is the second daughter of the late environmental activist Toshio Fujimoto and renowned singer Tokiko Kato. She made her debut as a singer in 2001, and has since lent her voice to various projects, including NHK's "Minna no Uta" and the theme song and narration for the popular video game Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. Actively participating in international and domestic music events such as the World Peace Music Festival, Yae uses her music as a platform to promote peace and harmony. She lives with her family of five in Kamogawa Natural Kingdom, a satoyama (rural, nature-rich area) where they practice a sustainable, nature-based lifestyle. She also serves as an ambassador for the Japanese Ministry of the Environment's project "Connecting and Supporting Forests, Rivers, and the Sea." Yae is also a radio personality and continues to perform live across Japan. In 2020, she released the album "On The Border", followed by her ninth album "8 Billion Prayers" in 2023. The title track was later covered by her mother, Tokiko Kato, and became the theme of Kato's 60th anniversary tour. In 2024, Yae performed "HOME", a featured song on NHK's late-night program Radio Shinya Bin. In August 2025, she will release her latest single, "Spirits of Light", a heartfelt prayer for peace.
