I am a Japanese rapper and musician performing under the name EAST. In 2025, just before turning 34, I made the decision to debut, determined to turn my turbulent and twisted life experiences into music. After going through bankruptcy and depression, I lived in a state of emptiness. In that void, I realized that hip hop, always closest to me, was the only light that remained.
