nyachan is an artist known for her genre-defying yet deeply personal sound and worldbuilding. Her long-awaited debut EP, "Yorimichi"(Detour), is a vibrant collection that blends pop, alternative rock, R&B, and hyperpop-perfectly capturing the essence of who nyachan is as an artist. The title "Yorimichi"reflects her desire for listeners to take a little detour from their usual playlists and discover something new down a different path. The lead track, "enough is enough" which was released earlier as a single, sets the tone for the entire EP with its emotionally charged vocals and bold sound. Other standout tracks include "Konamikan", a song titled after a Japanese internet slang from the early 2000s meaning "an elementary school-level impression."The track turns self-deprecating feelings into a cathartic rock anthem. In contrast, "Ushi no Koku"dives into the darkness of mental struggles and the suffocating feeling of being unable to escape. Blending both Japanese and Korean lyrics, nyachan multilingual roots shine through and add another layer of depth to her sound. This EP invites you to explore her raw emotions, eclectic style, and immersive sonic world.
