Selected for J-WAVE SONAR TRAX and performing as the Opening Act on the main stage of the music event RIOT in April, he continues to make remarkable strides. Roka has just released his 4th single "The One." For the first time, Roka focused on recording with live instruments, crafting a track that marks a new chapter in his sound. The recording features an ensemble of top-tier musicians leading today's Japanese music scene: Ren Yamamoto (from LAGHEADS / Bass), Shunsuke Uehara (Drums), Kyohei Ariga (Guitar), Kosei Nagata (Saxophone), Akihiro Nagata (Trumpet) and Co-3oly (Keys / Co-Produce) . Their artistry enriches the track with a bold yet radiant soundscape, over which Roka's words and vocals flow with a rhythm and groove that reimagine the possibilities of Japanese lyrics. Roka is a singer-songwriter from Kanagawa Prefecture. Drawing inspiration from both Western and Japanese pop, R&B, and soul music, he self-produces his work, handling everything from lyrics and composition to arrangement. With his powerful vocals, strong sense of rhythm, and undeniable pop appeal, he captivates a wide range of music fans. He made his debut on November 1, 2024, with his first single "CUTENESS", which was selected as a "SONAR TRAX" by J-WAVE the following month. Despite being a debut release, the song garnered significant attention, ranking as high as No. 9 on the "J-WAVE TOKIO HOT 100" by the end of the same month. Roka began performing live in April 2025. At the circuit event "RIOT", held at Spotify O-EAST/WEST in Shibuya and featuring an impressive lineup including Kroi, BREIMEN, and Hedigan's, he took the spotlight as the opening act on the main stage delivering a stunning performance that mesmerized the audience.
