He started playing percussion when he entered university, and after graduation he has been active in live/rec support and his own leader project. In addition to participating in the enthusiastic percussion group La Señas, he has performed with many artists in Japan and abroad, including Keita Ogawa of Snarky Puppy and Patrick Bartley. He has also been active in the big band jazz field from his student days to the present, and has received numerous awards. He has been playing with many award-winning musicians in the field of big band jazz since he was a student, and has created a unique style and sound by crossing contemporary jazz and black music from a percussionist's perspective.
