In 2001, she formed a rock band ostooandell. After ten years with ostooandell, she moved to Tokyo and began her solo career as "yukaD." In May 2013, yukaD released her first solo album "Exhibition" with a record label ROSE RECORDS which was established by Keiichi Sokabe. The album was selected as this month's Tawarekomen (Tower Records' recommendation of the month) and attracted attention. In June 2014, "Yume wo miru janki" (Dreaming junkie) was released on CCC Records. It was a split 7-inch by yukaD and Lantern Parade. Her second album "yukaD in the house" is on its way. It will be released on December 3rd. Ahead of its release, in November 2014, her own indie label yukaD-label releases a single containing a tune "kimi wa danshingu kui-n" (You are a Dancing Queen) and two more.
