Enjoy the Electronic sound from the far east Asia.

This work was recorded on October 9, 2025, using dummy head microphones. It is intended to be played through a synthesizer system with 32 speakers. Please listen with headphones to experience three-dimensional sound. The synthesizer system consists of a computer, universal serial bus (USB) audio interface, USB device, line selector, buffer, filter, and mixer. Arrange the 32 speakers with their speaker units facing inward to form a rectangle measuring 118 cm wide and 141 cm high. The dummy head microphones are placed on top of a box positioned at the center of the rectangle. The box measures 36 cm wide, 21 cm long, and 29 cm high. The front speakers are the 1st through 8th speakers from the right. They are arranged symmetrically adjacent to each other from the midpoint of the top edge. The 1st and 8th speakers are positioned 24 cm back from the top edge. The 2nd and 7th speakers are positioned 16 cm back from the top edge. The 3rd and 6th speakers are positioned 8 cm back from the top edge. The fourth and fifth speakers are positioned on the top edge. The height from the floor is 60 cm. The rear speakers are the 9th through 16th speakers from the right. Position these speakers using the same method as the front speakers. The height from the floor is 22.5 cm. The speakers are positioned considering the Doppler effect. Place the left speaker on its side, stacking one speaker on top of the other. Arrange these two speakers along the left edge, placing four in total. The left speakers consist of the 17th through 20th, 25th, 27th, 29th, and 31st speakers. Place the 25th speaker 16 cm behind the starting point on the left side. Place the 17th speaker on top of the 25th speaker. The height from the floor is 42.5 cm. Place the 27th speaker 35 cm forward along the left side, then 8 cm back from the edge. Place the 18th speaker on top of the 27th speaker. The height from the floor is 36 cm. Place the 29th speaker 70 cm forward along the left side. Place the 19th speaker on top of the 29th speaker. The height from the floor is 30 cm. Place the 31st speaker 105 cm forward along the left side, then 8 cm back from the edge. Place the 20th speaker on top of the 31st speaker. The height from the floor is 22.5 cm. The speakers are positioned to change the acoustic characteristics transmitted to both ears. The right speakers consist of the 21st through 24th, 26th, 28th, 30th, and 32nd speakers. Position the speakers in the same method as the left speakers. Three mixers are used to move the sound source of the speaker. The mixers consist of mixer 1, mixer 2, and mixer 3. Mixers 1 and 2 each have one input signal and eight channel outputs. Mixer 3 has two input signals and two sets of eight-channel outputs. Mixer 1 controls the sound source movement for the 1st through 8th speakers. Mixer 2 controls the sound source movement for the 9th through 16th speakers. Mixer 3 carries out sound source movement for the 17th to 24th speakers and for the 25th to 32nd speakers. Tracks 1, 2, and 4 play a Waveform Audio File Format file on the computer in addition to the pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal output from the USB device. This signal is played back via the USB audio interface and mixer 3 from eight speakers on the left and right. The PWM signals are played back via the line selector, buffer, filter, mixer 1, mixer 2, and mixer 3 from 24 speakers.

Dissecting Table

Ichiro Tsuji was born in 1966. He started working on noise/industrial music for his band named "Dissecting Table" in Tokyo in 1986. He returned to his hometown of Hiroshima in 1998, and has been pursuing musical activities ever since. His records and compact disks have been released under the independent label of the UPD organization, and under labels in Europe and the United States. In the first and middle stage of his career he controlled the synthesizer and sampler by the sequencer, but since 2012, the works have been produced by controlling PWM signals output from a USB device on a computer. Lately the work is being made by developing an original synthesizer system.
