Jam with my Ride is a project produced by trumpeter and ukulele player Yoshiaki Kayano. Through his solo unit 360 Open Air Jam, Kayano has continued to create music that values the atmosphere of nature and the sound that emerges in the moment. He carries the same worldview across various projects, including jazz session bands. As an extension of this approach, Kayano uses his American camper van (my ride) as a recording studio, inviting musicians to join him and play and record inside the van. Unlike a traditional studio, the outdoor air, temperature, and presence of the wind naturally become part of the sound. Only original music born on the spot is recorded. This project preserves the music that emerges right here, right now, exactly as it is
