“Iwashita Keisuke Sardine” just dropped the new and hot Album “chicane and 4-tracks (Instrumental)”. It will contain the songs 'chicane (Instrumental)', 'Halation on the beach (Instrumental)', 'Forever and ever (Instrumental)', '4000 miles (Instrumental)' and 'Waltz A (Instrumental)' total of 5songs. When I produced my previous album "Hen-sin" in 2001, I felt the arrangements were too simplistic. I decided to put more effort into the next collection. As a result "21st Century Protest Songs" produced in 2002, ended up featuring considerably complex arrangements. This time, following the example of the Beach Boys "Stack-O-Tracks", I selected four tracks from the sixteen songs on "21st Century~" that feature elements where the backing track demands close listening. Additionally, I recently discovered a new version of the instrumental track released digitally last year (2024) as "G.T.E.D," featuring added kecak and agitation elements. I've renamed it "chicane" and included it here. As human-powered electronica, I hope you'll enjoy listening to it casually.

Iwashita Keisuke Sardine

My name is Iwashita Keisuke, also known as Sardine. Over the 20 years from 1983 to 2003, I have recorded about 200 songs by myself. I compiled these into eight albums and released them one by one in 2024. In 2025, instead of an anthology, I will release an album edited in chronological order. Sardine's music is diverse. It ranges from accessible pop to socially conscious message songs, from progressive constructions to punk subversiveness. I'm a formidable pianist, a mad synthesizer player, a halting guitarist, a tone-reading bassist, a loose percussionist, and a clumsy singer-songwriter with solo multi-choruses. All of these parts are integrated into one persona. A mixture of romance, cold-heartedness and passion, depicting incoherent anxiety and yearning for something unattainable, this is an oldie but an evergreen.
