The up-and-coming jazz piano trio niskhaf is formed in Tokyo in 2020. Since their first appearance on the jazz scene in Japan, the trio has been drawing a lot of attention from music enthusiasts. The music of niskhaf reflects their unique musical journey that each member has been through in North America, Europe and Middle East before they meet in their motherland. Their urge to combine the complex rhythmic intensities typically from Israeli music and lyrical melodies influenced by music from Europe such as known as the sound of ECM records, they found their unique style in the format of contemporary jazz. After releasing their first album "thirst" in December 2021, international audiences started to recognize them & the album appeared on "jazz top songs" chart in Denmark and Vietnam in 2022.
