bergamots & Jinbyul

Tokyo-based music unit consisting of vocalist Yuhi and composer AJ, both from Tokyo. Lyrics, composition, and arrangement are done in Japan, while mixing and mastering are handled by engineers in the Netherlands and Belgium. They released their 1st EP in May 2023 and their latest 3rd EP in August 2024, producing and releasing 21 songs over approximately one year and three months. In October 2024, one of their songs was used as an insert song for the Australian indie film Salt Along the Tongue, which was screened at SXSW Sydney 2024 (Australia), Fantastic Film Festival Australia (Australia), Fantaspoa (Brazil), Fantasporto (Portugal), FrightFest (UK), Transit Filmfest (Germany), and Oltre lo Specchio Film Festival (Italy). Additionally, last autumn they released a cassette tape featuring a special selection of their songs, which is being distributed both domestically and internationally. They are currently active on a global scale, including working on two collaborative songs with Korean singer-songwriter Jinbyul @jinbyul_. The first collaboration track, soaring, is scheduled for release in September 2025, followed by the second track, Unmelting Night, to be released in January 2026. In addition to the collaboration tracks, they are currently in the process of producing an album.
