Ren Kanagawa

Ren Kanagawa

Ren is from Hiroshima, and he moved to Tokyo to pursue a music career. He worked as the leader of a dance and vocal group for approximately 5 years since 2019. Drawing on his experience playing piano since the age of five, he was also responsible for songwriting and composition. His wide-ranging activities in the group included going on nationwide tours like the Zepp Tour, performing at events such as Kansai Collection, and producing songs that were used as tie-ins for TV dramas. However, the group disbanded in 2025, after which he began his solo career as a singer-songwriter. He works under the theme "Demo," using music to turn his personal demonstrations - feelings of anger toward an unjust society and adults, along with frustration at being a "nobody" - into songs, with the hope of still finding a way to love the world through it all. "Demo" also reflects his desire to keep evolving as an artist, suggesting that every past version of himself is like a demo track for who he is today.
