Written from a first-person, inward-looking perspective, the song reflects on themes of family love rooted in the artist's own personal experiences. The "walls of a home" are portrayed as something that can both protect and confine a family-enclosing us in various forms. The music video, released on the same day, is directed by emerging video artist Saou Tanaka, who has collaborated with Maika Loubté on multiple occasions.
