Just like humidity can ruin my bangs, my mood can drop surprisingly easily in everyday life. That is why this time I wanted to make a song that gets your body moving before your brain starts thinking, and that is where this sound came from. It is built on a four on the floor kick, tight hi hats that keep it running, and a gritty wall of guitars stacked on top. It has that feeling where the drive of dance music and the rough edge of rock move at the same speed. I think it is one of the easiest entry points into Sticky and Tomaty.
The title is Mitahoshii, which means I want you to see me. There are moments that sound like romance, but what I really wanted to capture is a more universal feeling, not limited to love. Wanting to be recognized, understood, noticed. Those feelings can be embarrassing, and sometimes you want to hide them, but for this song I did not want to deny them. I wanted it to leave you in a mood where you can say, that is okay, so I made it the title straight up. I also kept the sense of getting thrown off by someone s casual words, and that I cannot stop wondering feeling growing bigger and bigger.
This track also carries the atmosphere of Escaperock, a new idea about music that I created. Escaperock is not about just enduring when reality feels heavy. It is about escaping into a dream for a moment, putting your ideal into clear words, and then bringing it back into real life. Not running away forever, taking the this is how I want to be you find there and returning it to your daily life and actions. I am trying to capture that momentum and that push on your back as rock music.
Sticky and Tomaty is a band unit built around a mascot character world and alternative rock at its core. I would be really happy if you start with this song. And if it clicks, I hope you will want to look deeper into our world.

Sticky&Tomaty is a band that combines music and character animation.
"If you doubt the rightness of society or other people's standards, flit off into a dream, verbalize your ideals and shout them out. When you return to reality, you can make society conform to your ideals."
The music switches you from reality into a dream.
The sound is alternative rock with influences from grunge, electronic, dreampop, ambient, etc., intersecting with a fantastic atmosphere and emotional impulses.
On the visual side, the music videos and artwork feature the floating red tomato character "Tomaty" and green gooey character "Sticky", which are reminiscent of Reverism (his own art movement that blurs the boundaries between dream and reality).
All lyrics, composition, singing, track-making, and artwork direction are done by organizer Sota Goto.
