The lyrics were written by the film's screenwriter, Aki Kajiwara, who is also known as the author of the bestseller The Bombe's Daughter. The song is performed by the film's lead actors, Ayaka Onishi and Hiroko Nakajima, both making their debut as singers in this work.

Composer Haruyuki Suzuki, winner of the 16th Irino Prize, has had his works presented at Gaudeamus Music Week, Les Inouies, Music From Japan, and other international festivals. He also received the Mainichi Film Award for Nobuhiro Suwa's M/OTHER and has scored films including Chokori-etta and Reviving Recipes. Screenwriter Aki Kajiwara is known for Waiting at the Bus Stop Until Dawn and This Is "Kirishima". Her nonfiction book The Bomber's Daughter became a bestseller. For this film,she wrote both the screenplay and the lyrics to the theme song "Minna Shinu".
