Zangetsu is a instrumental band consists with Taiko/Shakuhachi/Tsugaru Shamisen.
It Formed by Ajo(Taiko)/Takayuki Hashiguchi(Taiko)/Michiaki Shirata(Tsugaru Shamisen) in 2007 after a tour of 5 countries in Eastern Europe which presented by Japan Foundation. Toured around Slovakia/Czech/Romania/Bulgaria/Macedonia and made every single venue filled with full of Audience and standing ovation.
And Shakuhachi player Masaki Nakamura joined in 2009 so its expressions became more wide and emotional. Their skill of traditional music are trained well and the performance is based on it. But their various interests and experiences makes it into more modern and exciting style.
