arvin homa aya, known for her featuring performances in the Japanese club/house/clubjazz culture, has broken an 8 year silence with this new original album [Past Present Future] celebrating 15th years from her solo debut! With arranger Yusuke Nakamura (BLU-SWING/LAST ELECTRO), she has created an album sharing her roots, with a modern but smokey twist, combining her club music background with a more pop vibe than she's ever done. Born and brought up till the age of 13 in San Francisco, CA.
Has been living in Tokyo, Japan ever since.
Starts her career with a radio show at the age of 17, and has been working as a singer/songwriter/vocal arranger/English lyricist/English vocal coach ever since.
From the year 2002, participates as one of the lead vocals for a Japanese club music project [Jazztronik], also collaborating with other Japanese artists such as [Reggae Disco Rockers], [Sunaga t Experience], DAISHI DANCE, FreeTEMPO, GTS and so on.
As a lyricist, has worked with top Japanese artists such as YOSHIKI, Toshinobu Kubota, and akiko.
As a solo artist, has released 6 original albums, including a [featuring best] album, and has performed in clubs and venues throughout Japan with top DJ's of the country. Many of her music has also been featured in TV animations, TV dramas, and movies in Japan.
Along with her musical career, she is also involved in children's education, creating an original program, teaching children "Music in English" once a week. Also participates in the [Kids meet Jazz!] project as lead vocal, performing in concerts for children all over the country. She is also co-founder of [KotOto], a collaboration event for families featuring various musicians and artists.
She is currently in the middle of production for a new album celebrating her 15th Anniversary as a solo artist, getting ready for its release this autumn.
